DAY 1. TANGiER - TETOUAN - CHAOUEN
Arrival of the clients at the port of Tangier, a city located in the Strait of Gibraltar.
The first stop will take us to Tetouan where we will visit its historic medina, recognised as a World Heritage Site. It is home to charming corners that will lead us to discover places of interest also outside the old town, which has a strong Spanish character.
Lunch at leisure.
The next stage of our journey will take us to Chaouen or Chefchaouen. A picturesque town of blue and white contrasts and sheltered by the Rif Mountains. A labyrinthine network of streets full of surprises, viewpoints and a kasbah that takes us back in time.
Rest in a charming Riad in the heart of the medina. Dinner at your leisure in some of the places that our guide will indicate as the best suggestions.
DAY 2. CHAOUEN - FEZ
After breakfast we are ready to take the road to Fez. This city is considered one of the Imperial Cities of Morocco because it was the capital of the Kingdom. We visit with our local guide, monuments and emblematic places: Karaouine Mosque, the Mellah or the golden gates of the Royal Palace, and the populous neighbourhoods of the medina.
Lunch in a typical place, time for some more cultural visits or to lose yourself in the colourful and handicraft shops.
Accommodation and dinner in a Riad in the Medina.
DAY 3. FEZ - IFRANE - AZROU - BOSQUE DE MONOS - ERFOUD - DESIERTO DE MERZOUGA
We start the day with breakfast in the Riad of Fez to continue our journey and reach the Middle Atlas. Its mountains hide unique places such as Ifrane, where we will make our first stop. This town is known as the Moroccan Switzerland, as snow is very common in winter.
We will continue to Azrou and we will find a pleasant surprise, especially for nature lovers, a visit to the National Park of the Cedars or Monkey Forest is a must. This is the perfect home for the endangered Barbary monkeys.
We will continue on to Erfoud and later arrive in Merzouga. We will also have had a refreshment stop for a light snack before continuing our journey.
In Merzouga we will enter the desert, for the more adventurous the experience is to do it on the back of camels (option of 4×4 instead). A sea of golden dunes will take us to the heart of this place where we will find luxury Berber tents. Dinner and rest that night with the sky and the stars as an indisputable part of the essence of the desert.
DAY 4. MERZOUGA - RISSANI - ERFOUD - TODRAVALLE DADES GORGE
Getting up early to see the first light of dawn in the dunes of Erg Chebbi has a special charm. After breakfast in the tents we will set off by camel (or 4×4) back to Merzouga. We reserve some time for a refreshing shower in the camp or in a nearby hotel.
We continue our adventure to Rissani which is a small town that preserves a unique historical medina. The next stop will be the Todra Gorges with a spectacular canyon carved into the rock, forming vertical walls of 200 meters in some cases.
We will continue our route through the Dades Valley and start the so-called Route of the Thousand Kasbahs. In one of these picturesque villages we will find our Riad for the night, where we will have dinner and stay overnight.
DAY 5. DADES valley - ROSAS vaLLEY - OUARZAZATE - AIT BEN HADDOU - PORT OF TICHKA - MARRAKESH
A day in which we will cross the natural landscape and the Valley of the Roses. Stop in Ouarzazate and its kasbah: an ancient Berber fortress that tells of a splendid past. We will continue to another fortified enclosure, the famous Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, listed as a World Heritage Site and a regular location for filming movies. After enjoying this unique site, we will cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka pass at an altitude of over 2200m.
After a short stop for lunch, in the afternoon we will arrive in Marrakech, a spectacular Imperial city. Overnight in Riad and dinner
DAY 6. MARRAKECH
Day at leisure to discover this beautiful city, emblematic ‘red city’ full of life, dynamism and contrast of aromas and colours. We will visit monuments such as the Kutubia Mosque, the Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs or the Ben Youssef Medersa. The traditional neighbourhoods of the city show their customs during the route and of course the Jemaa el Fna Square is the heart and the nerve centre of Marrakech. Perfect place to enjoy free time, shopping, tasting typical dishes and discovering its people.
Dinner and overnight.
DAY 7. MARRAKECH - Return to destination
After breakfast transfer to the Airport and departure to your next destination.
